Cuisine - Polop



The products from the mountains of Alicante and the fruits of the nearby Mediterranean Sea, just 6 km away, are the main ingredients of the delicious cuisine of Polop. Like any town that has had its economic base in the hard work of the field, its recipes are very energetic and tasty. Typical dishes of Polop de la Marina would be: • The delicious "pilotes de dacsa" made with corn flour, beans, meat, and vegetables. • L’olleta de blat. A recipe that has wheat as its main ingredient. • L’arros amb fressols i naps. The main ingredients of this recipe are rice, beans, turnips, cardoons, Swiss chard, tomatoes, onions, oil, and pork. • The Alicante paella, the most representative dish of the Valencian Community. To sweeten our meals, we can enjoy some of the typical sweets of the Marina Baixa, such as: Els bunyols de carabassa, Milhojas de níspero, La coca María de almendra, Pastissets de boniato, Los almendrados.

Guadalest



This small and beautiful medieval village is located in the center of one of the most picturesque valleys of the Costa Blanca: The Guadalest Valley. Callosa d'En Sarrià



Its origin is a Muslim farmhouse. It has always been highly sought after due to the wealth, abundance, and purity of the waters of the Algar River, known as the "river of health." The relief of Callosa d'En Sarrià is marked by the course of two rivers, the Algar, which forms waterfalls known as Fuentes del Algar, and the Guadalest. Additionally, it is surrounded by imposing mountain ranges. The town is also known for its loquats, with Designation of Origin. Altea



Between the sea and the mountains lies a small paradise of the Costa Blanca, the beautiful destination of Altea. A town that exudes tranquility and where time seems to stand still. A place where the blue of the Mediterranean merges with that of the sky, and where the iconic dome of its church stands out above the network of cobbled streets and white houses. Jávea town is as charming as its beaches, and strolling through its streets is truly worthwhile. And if you are looking for routes with unexpected endings, we recommend going up to the Mirador de les Pesqueres or even doing the complete route of the viewpoints where you will find monuments like the Séquia de la "Noria".

Exploring the path to the Cova Tallada in Jávea is another great option, and to live a different experience and immerse yourself in the essence of this town, we recommend visiting Jávea during its Moors and Christians festivals or San Juan Bonfires.

Jávea also has a good number of restaurants where you can eat, and there you can try all kinds of recipes including, of course, some of the most typical ones in the area such as dried octopus, seafood rice dishes, red prawns, or fish stews.
